BASIC FUNCTION:

Provide services for children who reside in this new program (residential school serving children ages 14-21)  in accordance with the individual treatment plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist consumers in developing social and life management skills in accordance with individual’s abilities and the individual treatment plan.
• Promote independence in all areas of daily living in accordance with individual’s abilities.
• Ensure that consumers are actively engaged in meaningful activities.
• Transport consumers in a safe manner; follows all NYS laws and agency procedures; maintains a valid NYS Driver’s License.
• Administer medication in accordance with the individual medication regimen and documents in a timely manner.
• Complete all trainings in accordance with OMRDD regulations and agency procedures, including SCIP-R, AMAP, etc. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A mimimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Clean and valid NYS Driver’s License.
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred.
