BASIC FUNCTION:
The Licensed Psychiatrist will meet with caregivers  and their children, whoch have prior foster care histories, for the purpose of completing yearly evaluations needed to reauthorize Bridges to Health Services. The B2H program services children diagnosed as Seriously Emotionally Disturbed, Developmentally Disabled, and/or Medically Fragile (ages 0-21) with the goal of avoiding institutionalization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide Psychiatric evaluations only to chidlren with previous foster care placements .
• Schedule and meet with children and families for clinical interview and assessment.
• Select appropriate level of care based on assessment.
• Provide type-written Psychiatric evaluations.
• Other related duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Medical Degree (MD) with appropriate training in Psychiatry.
• Minimum of 1 year experience working with children with special needs (SED, DD or Med F)
• Experience within the Foster Care System a plus.
